EAST WENATCHEE — Three East Wenatchee boys got a stern warning from authorities Tuesday afternoon after using fireworks to start a brush fire in the 1000 block of South Nile Avenue.

Two 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old shot a bottle rocket that started a fire, which burned about three-quarters of an acre of brush, according to Douglas County sheriff’s deputies and Fire District 2 firefighters.
