The American Legion Post 10 selected six delegates to attend the 2013 Evergreen Boys State program.
Central Washington University in Ellensburg hosted Boys State last month.
Boys State is a summer leadership and citizenship program sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for high school students between their junior and senior years.
Local attendees were Matthew Belt, son of Aaron and Kim Belt; Zachary Feeney, son of Ryan and Nancy Feeney; Chandler Engel, son of Dennis Engel and Carol Springer; Jesse Reyes, son of Mario and Maria Reyes; Drew Stillman, son of Don and Jeanna Stillman; and Eric Torres, son of Ezequiel Torres and Aurora Marquez.
Benefactors enabling the young men to attend Evergreen Boys State were Alcoa, John Dickeson Express Logistics, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 10, Waterville Lions Club and Wenatchee Valley Medical Center.
