Fireworks starts several small brush fires

WENATCHEE — Fireworks caused several small brush fires on the Fourth of July but none threatened structures, according to NCW fire officials.

“We dodged a bullet again for major property loss,” said Stan Smoke, Wenatchee fire chief. “A significant amount of the fires were caused by illegal aerial fireworks.”
