CHELAN — Between 450 to 500 acres of mostly grassland was burning this morning on Lake Chelan’s north shore.
The fire, which was reported Thursday afternoon, was across the lake from Twenty-Five Mile Campground, according to the Central Washington Interagency Communications Center. Fighting the fire were crews from the Forest Service and state Department of Natural Resources.
The cause of the fire was undetermined. Information was not available on whether structures were threatened.
