American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 selected 10 North Central Washington delegates to attend the 2013 Evergreen Girls State program.
Central Washington University in Ellensburg hosted Girls State in June.
Girls State is a summer leadership and citizenship program sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for high school students between their junior and senior years.
Local attendees were Karina Alvarez, daughter of Baltazar Alvarez and Blanca Equinua; Bianca Cruz-Lopez, daughter of Carlos Cruz and Lucia Lopez; Emma Barrera-Lopez, daughter of Esteban Barrera and Maricela Lopez; Jenae Bickford, daughter of Brett and Karyn Bickford; Briseida Escalera, daughter of Alfredo Escalera and Maria Toscano; Amber Frodsham, daughter of Steven and Tiffany Frodsham; Jannette Gutierrez, daughter of Jose and Ana Gutierrez; Alyssa Hudson, daughter of Kirk and Andrea Hudson; Sophia Nordt, daughter of Kevin and Mary Kylas-Nordt; and Morgan Wickenhagen, daughter of Steve Wickenhagen and Amy Wickenhagen.
