OKANOGAN — The body of a 25-year-old Omak man, missing since he went swimming June 23 in the Okanogan River, was found Sunday afternoon.
Roy G. Herriman’s body was found on a small island in the river about seven miles down the river from where Herriman was last seen. It was found by a local man who was on the island with his dog. The location of the body was a quarter mile north of Legion Park in Okanogan.
Herriman was last seen by a friend getting swept into a log jam north of Omak near Dunckel Trailer Courts about 4:30 p.m. on June 23.
