CHESAW — The Okanogan Highlands Alliance has planned a free presentation of “Watershed Functioning, Plant Ecology and Stream Processes: Tying it All Together” on July 20.
The presentation will be held at 10 a.m. at the Chesaw Memorial Building, in downtown Chesaw.
Stream morphologist Gina McCoy will lead a discussion on how watershed functioning leads to patterns of streamflow and sediment delivery. Plant ecologist Tom McCoy will lead a discussion on how disturbance ecology shapes plant communities.
A field trip will follow the presentation. Space is limited for the field trip. Those interested in attending must pre-register. Field trip priority will be given to Okanogan Highlands Alliance members.
