Wildcat cheerleading camp really isn’t as bad as it looks. It’s actually fun for the 25 children 5-12 years old who are spending this week learning to cheer and dance — and pretend to be seasick in a game of “Ships and sailors” on Tuesday. This is about the 20th year of the summer camp held at the Eastmont Community Park soccer field. It’s led by 13 Eastmont High School cheerleaders, some of whom themselves participated in the camp when they were younger. The camp ends Friday with a spirit day where the children perform what they’ve learned in front of their parents, friends, and relatives.
