Christopher Lee “Chris” Cline

September 7, 1959 ~ July 2, 2013

Christopher Lee “Chris” Cline, 53, of Wenatchee, WA, passed away July 2, 2013. Chris was born in Walla Walla, WA on September 7, 1959, to David and Linda Cline. He was a longtime resident of the Wenatchee Valley. He made a living as a journeyman plumber working for Cashmere Valley Plumbing, Dave’s Plumbing and others. He started up his own plumbing business, Dependable Plumbing Service. His true calling in life was making things go: Chris could fix anything, break it and fix it again. The outdoors was his playground, where he enjoyed everything from jet boating on the river, to 4-wheeling, dirt biking, and mushroom hunting in the mountains. His favorite thing about these activities was the company he enjoyed them with. No matter what he was doing, he never forgot to bring his sense of humor. Chris preferred fast and loud and had a knack for anything with an engine. He loved spending time in the garage listening to old time rock and roll, while methodically tinkering with parts and engines for his next project. He had many project cars over the years; his highlight creation was his 1941 Dodge Power Wagon, which brought many moments of frustration, excitement, togetherness and happiness over the years. Chris was an animal lover: he loved to throw the ball for the family dogs and spoil the cats with treats. He enjoyed feeding the neighborhood squirrel population. He will be forever in our hearts and missed every day of our lives.

Survivors include daughter, Tiara Cline of Portland, OR; his parents, David and Linda Cline of Walla Walla; brother, Allen Cline and wife, Patty Castell of Milton-Freewater, OR; step-son, Tyler Gardner and wife, Shawna of East Wenatchee; extended family, Deana Gardner of Moses Lake; and many close friends in the Valley, including Susan Rankin and family of East Wenatchee.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley. A potluck will follow the Service. Arrangements by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
