...HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING ALONG THE EAST SLOPES OF THE NORTHERN CASCADES... .A BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE CASCADES FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. THIS BAND WILL ALSO CONTAIN SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER RAINFALL RATES THAT COULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.

Richard Howell, 89, of Fresno, Calif., and formerly of Wenatchee, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

He had resided in Fresno since 1970 and previously to that had resided in Wenatchee for 22 years. He worked for Western Foam Pack in Fresno and Dolco Packaging in Wenatchee.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Howell of Fresno, Calif.; and his children, Sally Vradenburg of Wenatchee, Chris Howell and Anne Swanson, both of Minnesota, and Dennis Howell of Clovis, Calif.

An interment service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Wenatchee City Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Neptune Society.
