Cashmere’s Stephen Ettinger placed first in the men’s pro 24 division of the 2013 USA Cycling Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Championships meet on Saturday with a time of 1:35.17.
Ettinger is a member of the BMC Mountainbike Racing Team.
Spokane man wins ChelanMan long course title
Alex Martinek of Spokane won the ChelanMan long course men’s triathlon with a time of four hours, 46 minutes, 24.8 seconds on Saturday.
Brandy Anderson was the top female finisher with a time of 5:18:37.6
In the Olympic triathlon, Anthony Gerbino won with a time of 2:05:26.8, while Dana Reid came in with a mark of 2:18:41.0, the top female finisher.
Bill Condon won the half marathon with a time of 1:16:59.9. Sarah Barkcley was the top female placer with a time of 1:29:34.8.
In the 10-kilometer run, James Anderson placed first in 40:31.7, while Cheryl Stevenson was the top female finisher with a time of 42:49.1.
