John Perry “JP” Smith, 81, of Blackwell, Okla., and formerly of Wenatchee, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013.

He had resided in Blackwell for 17 years and in Wenatchee for 30 years, and had worked at Columbia River Orchards and Wenoka.

Survivors include his wife, Maryann Smith of Blackwell, Okla.; his children, Perry Smith of Moses Lake, Patti Spoonemore of Ephrata, Larry Smith of Sultan and Donna Braley of Spokane; his brother, Bill Smith of Pauls Valley, Okla.; and his sisters, Shirley Turner of Pauls Valley, Lenora Walker of Worland, Wyo., and Naomi Cheek of Wenatchee.
