WENATCHEE — A man made off with an unknown amount of cash and a case of beer early today after threatening a clerk at the 76 Station at 1041 N. Miller St. with a handgun.
No shots were fired and the clerk was not injured in the 12:55 a.m. incident, said Wenatchee Police Sgt. Jim West.
He said the man appeared to be in his early 20s, and was wearing a dark gray hoodie and black shorts when he came into the mini market, picked up a case of beer and pointed a gun at the clerk, asking for the money out of the cash register.
After the clerk gave him the cash, he said, the man left on foot.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate him. They are reviewing video taken at the store this morning, and plan to release a photo of the suspect today, West said.
