LEAVENWORTH — A homeowner stabbed a man during a late Sunday confrontation in the home.
Joe L. Wiggins Jr., 29, of Leavenworth was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary and three counts of making threats to kill.
About 11:30 p.m. a man kicked in the front door of a residence in the 200 block of West Street, said John Wisemore, undersheriff for the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.
The man accused the homeowner of having a sexual relationship with his wife, and threatened to sexually assault the homeowner’s wife.
During the confrontation, the homeowner stabbed the intruder with a kitchen knife, Wisemore said. He was stabbed in the left shoulder and in the lower back.
The intruder left and walked a few blocks before he was spotted by sheriff’s deputies and arrested. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Cascade Medical Center, then was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
The male homeowner was punched by the suspect, Wisemore said, but was not seriously injured.
