Tuesday the Camille Wade Children’s Library has its grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. followed by a visit by author/illustrator Erik Brooks and a puppet show.
The library renovation of $400,000 was a memorial to Camille, the late wife of Jim Wade. The beautiful library room is a fitting tribute to Camille, whose father had his mortuary business just across the park.
Camille and her sister were daughters of Irwin Jones, a civic leader of his time. He and his father moved from Coulee City in 1924 and founded Jones and Jones in the beautiful home of pioneer Conrad Rose.
On behalf of all the kids who love to read, thanks to the Wades for a significant library improvement.
