I’ve been reading about Alhambra, Calif., and its struggle to get better communication with its ethnically diverse community.
The goal of the group in Alhambra is similar to our own here in this town, with some large differences. For one thing, that city has no newspaper of its own, so it is trying to get a substitute.
Like our own program, it has recruited community contributors to help fill the gap of what’s happening there. They use a website — alhambrasource.org — called Alhambra Source. We don’t have to find a new way here. Our aim is to broaden the source of news with community members.
It’s an interesting challenge, and we are excited to be part of a new direction that our publisher has devised.
