Out of control
The recent revelation that the federal government is spying on its citizens’ email/phone calls/Facebook has stunned the nation. Edward Snowden, a NSA contract employee, exposed the spying. Elected federal congressman/senators approved this under the 2001 Patriot Act, signed by GOP President Bush. Our government has created a 40,000-employee National Security Administration-NSA. Under the guise of protecting us from terrorists, our government has become political terrorists.
Monitoring data about New York Governor Elliot Spitzer, in 2008, his use of prostitutes on a credit card was revealed to the news media, forcing his resignation.
More recently in 2012, Gen. David Patraeus was forced to resign as director of the CIA, after a NSA whistleblower revealed his email and extramarital affair with his female biographer.
The IRS, on orders from on high, stalled and delayed conservative applications for nonprofit status, affecting the 2012 election.
This same NSA agency is now building a $2 billion data collection Center near Salt Lake City, Utah. Its estimated annual electric bill will be $40 million and its gargantuan storage capacity will record and store the entire world’s radio, TV, internet, telephone and satellite communications.
Meanwhile terrorists are readily allowed into the country from Muslim nations and given welfare. They simply buy an unregistered $9 TracFone and airtime from any large retailer, and communicate without anyone knowing who they are, where they live, and how to find them.
The NSA combined with the Benghazi, IRS, Associated Press indictment, ATF Fast and Furious Mexican Gun Running scandals, and $16 trillion deficit, leave little doubt: This government is out of control. And these are only the scandals we know about, and all are violations of the law. When can we expect Attorney General Eric Holder to indict the criminals?
