James R. “Doc” King, 91, of Wenatchee and a former longtime resident of Omak, died Saturday, June 22, 2013.

He was a veterinarian in Poulsbo and later in Chelan, where he also owned and operated a cattle ranch near Manson. In 1995, he moved to Omak and grew alfalfa and raised cattle until 2009. He continued living in Omak until moving to Wenatchee three months ago.

Survivors include his children, Jim King of Omak, Gary King of Seattle and Mila Hart of East Wenatchee.

A remembrance gathering will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
