Mike Mussina's name was incorrectly spelled in an original version of this story. The error has been corrected.

East Wenatchee

A burglar made off with autographed baseball cards and a baseball after forcing their way into Hunter Law Firm in East Wenatchee sometime over the weekend, police said.

East Wenatchee Police were notified this morning of the break-in at 645 Valley Mall Parkway, said Assistant Chief Dan Reierson.

He said burglars forced in the outside door to gain entry to the building, and then kicked in several office doors and ransacked the offices.

He said attorneys did not report any missing files, and no computers were taken.

One office reported a missing baseball and card both signed by Mike Schmidt, two cards autographed by Buddy Bell, and two cards autographed by Mike Mussina.

Mike Mussina...originally drafted by the Orioles. I'm not aware of a Mussino.

Thanks, Mikeh! I had googled Mussino, which is what I wrote down while talking to the East Wenatchee Police, and came up with some hits including an Orioles baseball player, so I figured it was accurate. Now that I search under Mussina, I get many more hits. I appreciate you spotting the error and I corrected it online. K.C. Mehaffey, Wenatchee World reporter

I would ask why an attorney has or needs to have baseball cards in his office, but that would seem like I was demeaning attorneys, wouldn't it? I can say that I would prefer that my attorney has case and personal files and perhaps some law books and other tools of the trade in his office, but that's just me.
