Casey Clevenger and Henok Tewolde, both of Boston, have announced their engagement.
She is the daughter of Jill and Greg Clevenger of Peshastin. His parents are Tsegazeab Kelati of Atlanta, and Tsehay Simret of London.
She graduated from Cascade High School in 1999. She earned a bachelor’s degree in comparative history of ideas from the University of Washington in 2003. She earned a master’s degree in public policy and women studies from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in 2008. She is a doctorate student in the sociology program at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.
He graduated from Tana Haik High School in Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia, in 1997. He graduated from the University of Asmara, Eritrea with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance in 2002 and a master’s degree in development economics in 2006. He is a doctorate student in the economics and finance program at Brandeis University. He also works as a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
A July wedding at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Leavenworth is planned.
