This place deserves to have international guitar workshops.” Jack Sanders, the Piatigorsky Foundation guitarist, was raving about the acoustics at The Grove a week ago as he was warming up for his concert.
He is recommending to his guitar association that they look at the new hall at Wenatchee Valley College for just that. The international group draws about 90 of the best classical guitarists in the world, and Sanders thinks this town fits the bill: The Grove, the PAC, the high school auditorium and the convention center would all be needed.
Fine acoustics is a very important ingredient for guitarists. Looks like we have it. Sanders said he’s been looking for a Pacific Northwest location for some time for the association.
Here’s to good acoustics!
