WENATCHEE — “Who’d have figured there’d be a Zagnut?” asked Kent Getzin after a fierce cooking battle featuring seven local chefs, four local judges and countertops full of local produce and other locally-donated ingredients.
Getzin said the old-fashioned candy bar in his bag of ingredients definitely threw him for a loop. But the bigger challenge may have been the chicken.
“It was bone-in, half a chicken, and you have half an hour. It was just barely done,” he said.
