No snow here Monday, but rain’s on the way

WENATCHEE — Snow was a no-show here Monday night as a weak front bypassed the Wenatchee Valley to drop flakes instead on most of eastern Washington.

Overnight, a “downsloping” air flow along the Cascades’ eastern flanks brought dry air and little precipitation to the Wenatchee Valley and its foothills, said Steven Van Horn, a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Spokane.
