Stella M. Dukes

Stella M. Dukes, 81, of Wenatchee, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013. She was born on August 13, 1932 to Henry Louis and Minnie Jane (Doss) Andruss at Melbourne, AR. She moved with her family to Monitor at the age of four. The family then moved to Wenatchee, where she received her early education. She married John M. Dukes on March 2, 1950 at Couer d’Alene, ID. The couple lived in the Wenatchee Valley. She worked as a housekeeper at several motels in the valley. She also worked as a teacher’s aide for 12 years at Lincoln Elementary, where she had attended school. Mrs. Dukes was a member of the Messiah Christian Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, John M. Dukes of Wenatchee; and her four daughters, Teresa Gault of East Wenatchee, Joanne Adams of East Wenatchee, Lorrie Ann Flowers of Wenatchee and Charity Smith of Tri-Cities, Washington; her eight grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren.
