Leaner Grant PUD budget expected to outperform

EPHRATA — Grant County PUD commissioners Tuesday approved a $247.4 million budget for 2014 that conservatively forecasts a $3.4 million loss that officials expect will move into the black by year end.

“We are very keenly aware and conscientious of managing expenses and keeping the PUD financially strong,” said Kevin Nordt, the utility’s chief financial offer.
