Boy hit by car improving at Harborview

CASHMERE — A 3-year-old boy who was struck by a car in Cashmere on Friday evening was in satisfactory condition this morning at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Cristián Moraga had been in serious condition since the accident, which happened about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and Mission Creek Road. Cristián suffered a broken upper leg and hip, said his father, Sebastian Moraga of Cashmere. Sebastian Moraga suffered a broken lower leg and was treated and released at Central Washington Hospital.
