WENATCHEE — A regional nonprofit that supplies meals to low-income seniors may have to cut back on service in Chelan County if it can’t close funding gaps due to rising costs and declining donations from the seniors who receive the meals.

Chelan County commissioners last week agreed to increase the county’s contribution by $5,000, but the nonprofit is still nearly $40,000 away from closing its funding gaps. The problem is worst in Wenatchee.
