March 10, 1925 ~ November 25, 2013

Violet L. (Kirstein) Welch, age 88, passed away November 25, 2013. She was born on March 10, 1925, in Snohomish, WA to Adolf and Emma Kirstein. She was a life-long devoted Christian of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. One of her joys was reminiscing about the friends they made in all the 21 places they lived between 1963 and 1985. She was an active member and volunteer of church activities, Girl & Boy Scouts, Sunday School, square dancing, old car club, sewing, knitting, garden club, and all were blessed by the aroma of her cooking & baking.

Violet is survived by her husband, Virtus (Stub) Welch; children, Carolyn (Mardy) Droscher, Colleen (Allen) Dickes, Daniel (Mary Helen) Welch; sisters, Esther Mau and Mildred Kirstein; grandchildren, Emily (Keith) Krizan, Ben Droscher, Andrew Dickes; nieces, Konnie Peters, Kristen Doty; nephews, Ronald Welch and David Mau. She was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Kirstein.

Visitation is Sunday, December 1, 2013, 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ward’s Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, WA. The Funeral Service is Monday, December 2, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, E.
