March 12, 1960 ~ September 27, 2013
Scott Pate left us suddenly at Central Washington Hospital, surrounded by friends and loving family, on September 27, 2013. Scott was born in Wenatchee on March 12, 1960 to Charles Pate and Shirley Hastings Pate. As a child he moved with his family all over the State of Washington and came back to Wenatchee, where he graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1978. He went on to cook for various restaurants in Wenatchee and Tacoma. He was also an Antique dealer and restorer in Wenatchee. He was an avid collector of rock and roll and classic cars. He had the biggest collection of albums we’ve ever seen! When he saw old cars, he saw them as bright and colorful. He was always looking for the next big deal. He was the idea man! Scott was a loving person and was always there for everyone.
Scott is survived by: his wife, Susan Pate of Wenatchee; his mother, Shirley Pate of Wenatchee; his sister, Kim Fehrer (Doug) of Wenatchee; nephews, Matthew Cornell and Quay Suddeth; his brother, Mike Adams of Tacoma; nieces and nephews, Jaime, Anthony, Ashley and Joseph; and his aunt, Susan Hastings of East Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by: his father, Charles Pate of Tacoma; and his grandparents, Wilson “Wick” Hastings and Delores “Lois” Hastings of Wenatchee.
A Celebration of Life for Scott will be held Thursday October 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastmont Baptist Church, 400 S. Kentucky. Jones & Jones ~ Betts is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Scott’s name to Solomon’s Porch.
We love you Scott, you brought love and laughter to our lives. We miss you. Goodbye.
