Columbia Valley Community Health accepts most private insurance plans and offers a sliding fee discount for the uninsured.
According to the Centers for Disease Control:
Everyone six months and older needs flu vaccine every year.
Children receiving the flu vaccination for the first time need two doses for protection against the virus to be effective. Children should wait four weeks between the first and second doses.
Two to three flu strains have changed from last season.
Both the injection and the nose spray are effective and there is no recommendation for one or the other.
Children with egg allergies should be vaccinated.
