Robert J. Babst

Robert J. Babst, 88, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.

He had been a lifetime resident of Wenatchee and had worked as a mechanic for the Great Northern Railroad and retired as a milkman at Foremost Dairy in Wenatchee.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Babst of Wenatchee; his children, Tom Babst of Madison, Ala., Gary Babst, Ron Babst, Bill Babst, Brad Babst, Christine Danielson, all of East Wenatchee, Dick Babst of Whitman, Ariz., Cheryl Fletcher, Carolyn Asher, Coyet Breshears and John Babst, all of Wenatchee, and Brian Babst of Atlanta; and his sisters, Genevieve Monnot of San Bruno, Calif. and Margie Smith of Portulaca, Ga.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wenatchee, interment with military honors will follow at the Wenatchee City Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s. A reception will follow immediately after the graveside service.

Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
