Jim and Joyce Schoenfelder of Wenatchee will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. Earlier this year, they also celebrated during a Mediterranean cruise with their children and their spouses.
Joyce Stoll and Jim Schoenfelder were married Oct. 25, 1953, in Reno, Nev.
He retired from a career in the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in 1973, and from the traffic department at the Hershey Chocolate Co. in 1990. She was an embassy courier for the USAF while the couple was stationed at Yakota AFB in Japan, and worked at a number of other jobs during Jim’s career in the USAF. She is also a homemaker.
They have lived in Wenatchee since 1990.
They have a daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Steve Hair of East Wenatchee, a son, James Schoenfelder of La Junta, Colo., and two daughters, Susan Horner of Red Bluff, Calif., and Laura Massey of Ceres, Calif. They are also the parents of the late Teresa Duvall.
They have 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchldren.
