Barbara Jean Harper

May 21, 1927 ~ October 4, 2013

Barbara Jean Harper was born at Hood River, OR May 21, 1927 and died October 4, 2013 in Brewster, WA. Barb lived in the Brewster area most of her childhood and graduated with the class of 1945. She was married to Stanley Goehry, raised their four children and helped him manage the family businesses. She planted pear and cherry trees, as well as helping with secretarial and accounting work in their car dealership in Brewster. Barb was into neighborhood coffee breaks in the 1950’s, pinochle club in the 1960’s and enjoyed traveling in the 1970’s, 80’s, and 90’s. She was also a hospital guild member and played bridge in the 1990’s. She was forever a Brewster Bears fan, as well as an American Legion Auxiliary member and a church of her choice member. Barb suffered from numerous strokes from 2000, until her death. May she rest in peace until we meet again.

Survivors include her brother, Duane and his wife, Marla; son, Ted and she also has nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Gorda; her husband Stan; and one son, Karl.

Friends and family of Barbara Goehry are invited to Barnes Chapel in Brewster, WA, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. for a Memorial Gathering honoring her life. Please leave your thoughts and memories for the family at
