Burundi violence survivor will speak in Wenatchee on healing

WENATCHEE — Forgiveness and group counseling sessions are key to solving violence problems in the African nation of Burundi, says a violence victim turned healer.

David Niyonzima, president of a Burundi nonprofit organization called Trauma Healing and Reconciliation Services, will speak on his mission to heal his country at a seminar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Brethren Baptist Church United, 535 Okanogan Ave.
