Michael (Motor) Wayan Andruss

Michael (Motor) Wayan Andruss passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013, in Wenatchee, at 38 years old. He was born to Connie Andruss and Jim Swearengin on March 5, 1975 in Wenatchee. He shared his joy, his enthusiastic spirit, and his ready smile with family and friends. He was a kind and loving son to Connie, his mother, who raised him and to his dear brother, Jeramy. Michael enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Denver Broncos, with Jeramy, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. His foremost source of pride was his son, Peyton, aka “Pey-Pey” and Michael treasured their time together. They shared a love of sports. Early in his youth, Michael was taken “under the wing” of Larry and Sherry Schreck, who included him in family activities, Little League baseball, basketball, soccer and drama; Michael loved being a member of the Short Shakespeareans and enjoyed the trip to Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He and brother, Jeramy, played ball at Washington Park with Larry. Michael was a seasoned salesman at Wenatchee Ford and he had also been a manager at a local restaurant. After high school, he worked successfully at various businesses. Having an upbeat and gregarious spirit, he had many friends who will miss him. He had a kind heart, which he shared with others, including that beautiful smile.
He was preceded in death by his Uncle Wayne Andruss and his grandparents.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you and much appreciation to Wayne and Gerry Hersel, Melanie Lewis, Soluna Andruss and family and to Betty Cook for helping them through this difficult time.
A Viewing is open to family and friends, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel. There will also be a viewing on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the church service. The Memorial Church Service for Michael will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 18 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1621 Maiden Lane in Wenatchee. Interment will follow at the Wenatchee City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Michael Andruss Memorial Fund at the Gesa Credit Union.
