Harold Porter

May 22, 1930 ~ October 13, 2013

Harold Porter, 83, of Leavenworth, WA, passed away at Merill Gardens in Monroe, WA following an extended illness. Harold was born in LaPorte City, IA to Chester and Lucille Porter. Harold was one of five children. Harold’s sister, Judy, cared for him at his home following the death of his partner in life, Jo Madrid, for most of his illness. Following a long term employment in Bellevue with Evans Carpet, Harold moved to the Leavenworth area and Fish Lake. Harold and Jo operated Porter’s Hideaway on Fish Lake, where they made many friends and great memories. Harold was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brother, Gary and sister, Judy. He is preceded in death by Jo; his brothers: Richard and Bob; and his sister, Dorothy.
