Dr. Arnie Heuchert, 79, of East Wenatchee, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.

He had resided in East Wenatchee since 1986. He helped start Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. He taught at Oregon State University and was vice -president of educational services at Big Bend Community College. He served as president of Wenatchee Valley College from 1986 to 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Margy Heuchert of East Wenatchee; and his children, Mark Heuchert of San Jose, Calif. and Greg Heuchert of East Wenatchee.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are assisted by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
