OHA launches new season of Highland Wonders

TONASKET — Okanogan Highlands Alliance (OHA) will host its first Highland Wonders indoor event of the season Nov. 1, at the Community Cultural Center (CCC) of Tonasket, 411 S. Western Ave.

Jack Nisbet, teacher, naturalist and author, will give a presentation titled “David Douglas in the Okanogan Country,” about the adventures of the Scottish naturalist. Dinner will start at 5 p.m., and the cost is $8, or $7 for CCC members, and will benefit the CCC. Nisbet’s presentation, with tea, coffee and desserts, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
