WENATCHEE — Family and friends of Lucille Simpson of Wenatchee are invited to attend a celebration in honor of her 90th birthday.
The celebration will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Wenatchee Eagles, 1208 N. Wenatchee Ave.
The event is being planned by her sons, Michael Simpson and Kelly Simpson, both of Wenatchee, Gary Simpson of Ireland and her daughter-in-law, Terri Simpson of Wenatchee.
She is also the mother of the late Robert Simpson.
The family requests no gifts.
Lucille was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Umpire, Ark., to Winston and Maude (Collier) Payte.
She married Floyd Simpson on July 3, 1947 in Wenatchee. Lucille worked as a waitress at the Wee Coffee Shop, Thrifty Drug Cafe and the Cottage Inn.
She and her late husband have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
