WENATCHEE — Maps showing potential areas for motorized and non-motorized trails and other recreational options in the Naneum Ridge to Columbia River planning area are now available online.
The state departments of Natural Resources and Fish and Wildlife hosted meetings in Wenatchee and Ellensburg last week, and will continue to accept comments before developing a proposal for recreation in the 230,000-acre area in Chelan and Kittitas counties.
Those meetings gathered feedback from people who plan to use the area, which includes the Naneum Ridge State Forest, the Colockum Wildlife Area, and two units on the L.T. Murray Wildlife Area.
The maps, a fact sheet and other information is available by visiting dnr.wa.gov and selecting Recreation, and then Naneum Ridge State Forest recreation planning.
