RENTON — Four North Central Washington fall sports teams have won 2013 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association academic state championships.
The Wenatchee (3.817 grade-point average) and Liberty Bell girls soccer (3.907), Omak boys cross country (3.791) and the Quincy football (3.45) squads were recognized as the top academic performers in their respective classes.
Wenatchee Valley College finished fourth in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Presidents Cup small-school standings.
The Knights teams posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.42. Big Bend Community College placed first in the Dick McClain division (consisting of schools offering seven sports or fewer).
