Yakima, WA

Margaret L. Miller, 93, passed away at home in Yakima, on October 28, 2013. She was born in Seattle and grew up in Oroville, WA, where she met her first husband, Abe Brumbaugh. She lived in Republic after graduation and later moved to Wenatchee. She worked at the Chelan County Courthouse, owned Merchants Legal Service and a corner grocery store. She worked for and retired from the Salvation Army store in Wenatchee. Peggy loved dancing, bowling, traveling and spending time with her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and friends. She was a member of the Wenatchee Eagles for over 50 years and was a member of the award winning drill team. After traveling with her second husband for several years, she relocated to Yakima after his death. She lived in Pateros for a short time and then returned to Yakima.

Peggy is survived by her children, Clay Brumbaugh (Helen), of Wilmington, NC, Bernadine Murphy of Green Valley, AZ, Nancy Hole, Lana Adkins and Shirlee Keifer all of Yakima; her brother, Gene (Leona) Allemandi of Oakdale, CA; grandchildren, Quentin and Collin Murphy, Brian (Leslie) Hole, Leah (Michael) Hole-Marshall, Tanya (Kevin) Hill, Tara Adkins, Ken (Charli) Keifer, Nick (Staci) Keifer and step-grandson, Richard (Laurie) Lamotte. She had 10 great-grandchildren and six great-step-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Wenatchee Cemetery, Friday November 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration Luncheon will follow immediately after the Service at the Wenatchee Eagles. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Peggy, or the Memorial Foundation, 2701 Tieton Dr., Yakima, WA 98902, in memory of Peggy. Please specify for hospice.
