Discounts, stipends still available for wildfire-prevention conference

WENATCHEE — Discounts and even money to attend are still available for an upcoming conference on how communities can reduce their risk of wildfire.

The conference “Working together: Collaboration for Fire Adapted Communities” will happen Sept. 25 and 26 at Wenatchee Convention Center.

Early bird registration through Friday costs $45 per person, plus $10 for an optional field trip. After Friday, the rate goes up to $65 per person.

Event sponsors also have a few $250 stipends available to people…
