...WINTER STORM FOR MUCH OF THE REGION POSSIBLE LATE THIS WEEK... .A LONG PERIOD OF LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL ADD UP TO POSSIBLE MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OVER A 24 TO 36 HOUR PERIOD. ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BEGIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THE CASCADES AND BEGINNING THURSDAY EVENING OVER THE REST OF THE REGION. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF OVER MOST AREAS BY LATE FRIDAY...SNOW SHOWERS

Karlene R. Johnson, 84, of Wenatchee, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.

She had been a lifetime resident of Wenatchee and Cashmere and was an X-ray technician at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center for 15 years.

Survivors include her children, Karla Winston of Wenatchee, Karen Meredith of Canada, Steve Johnson of East Wenatchee and Mitch Johnson of Boring, Ore.; her sister, Barbara Fredericksen of Cashmere; and her brother, Robert “Skip” Stoffel of Cashmere.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Calvary Crossroads Church, 1301 Maple Street in Wenatchee.

Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
