WENATCHEE — The YWCA is inviting employees, business owners and individuals interested in getting health insurance to an informational meeting on the Affordable Care Act.
Also called ObamaCare, the meeting is from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the YWCA, 212 First St., Wenatchee.
Matt McColm, an agent for Farmers Insurance, will answer questions for businesses and individuals about how to sign up for insurance, cost, who qualifies for subsidies, and how to be prepared on Oct. 1, when the state’s HealthPlanFinder becomes available for choosing a plan.
McColm, a certified broker who’s been trained to sign people up for a plan, said he’s been meeting with individuals and businesses to prepare for the sign-up.
The $10 cost of the meeting includes lunch. Advance reservations can be made by calling 662-3531, ext. 110.
