CHELAN — The 13th annual Home Tour and Art Sale takes place Saturday, Sept. 21. This year, with the dedicated efforts of more than 50 members of the Lake Chelan Community Hospital-Guild B and continued support from the businesses and individuals, everyone will enjoy a day of giving back to the community.
The home tour, which features five privately owned homes, and the art sale at Tsillan Cellars are both open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The $20 home tour tickets are available at Allisons of Manson, Culinary Apple in historic downtown Chelan and the Chelan Chamber of Commerce, as well as from any Guild B member. Again, this year tickets are available online at LakeChelanHomeTour.com. There is no cost to attend the art sale.
Five Lake Chelan-area homeowners are generously opening their homes for visitors to tour. The homes stretch around the lake and include:
Waterfront Lodge, a large Timber frame home on north shore
Compact Elegance, built in 1949, a remodeled cottage in town
Villa Tomela, a Tuscan-style home with hilltop views
Mediterranean Splendor, built on family property on the lake
Beach House at the Lake, on Lake Chelan’s south shore.

Tsillan Cellars will again host the art sale, which features more than 20 Northwest artists who will donate 25 percent of their sales that day. The featured artists are Nancy Culliton, Sally Griffin and Cy Hundley.
Nancy Culliton has been an avid supporter of the Guild B Art Sale and has participated for the past 12 home tours. She features Western motif in fabric art. This year, she will have pillows, table runners and has added wearable art.
Sally Griffin’s medium is watercolor. This year she will sell her nature inspired water colors and perhaps a whimsical piece or two.
Cy Hundley is a local Chelan artist. His love of animals has led him to be recognized as one of the top pet portrait artists in the country. He will be selling his Wild Life, Pet and Floral Paintings, greeting cards and Fine Art Prints.
Proceeds from home tour tickets and art sales help support LCCH Guild B in its effort to purchase software for a CT Scanner that will be used by the radiology department at the hospital.
A major benefit of attending the Home Tour is the opportunity to obtain ideas for building, remodeling, updating and/or decorating your home. The Contributors Guide is available only home tour day; it lists the contractors, donors and additional information on each home. A list of the contributors can be found at LakeChelanHomeTour.com and the ads purchased by contractors and craftsmen can also be seen on facebook.com/GuildBLakeChelanHomeTour.
The efforts of the Guild B members are under the leadership of co-chairwomen Vikki Owens, Karen Collins and Micki Morris. If you would consider having your home on the 2014 Home Tour, please contact Alice Soma at 682-8711.
Marilynn Lilly is a member of LCCH Guild B. Her home was on the tour in 2008.
