WENATCHEE — Authorities said no one was injured in a drive-by shooting early Saturday, but two people fled to the inside of their home to escape the gunfire in the 900 block of Methow Street.
Wenatchee Police responded to a 1 a.m. call, where at least two people were outside, and ran into their home to avoid being hit by bullets, a news release from the agency said.
Witnesses saw a dark-colored SUV-type car leaving the scene, the release said.
Officers found several bullet casings in the alley, and said at least one residence and several cars were damaged by bullets.
Police Cpl. Guy Miner said he did not have any additional information, but said the residence where the two people fled is the same one that was hit.
“That’s not the first shooting at that house,” he said. “I suspect the family is the target.”
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call RiverCom Dispatch at 663-9911 and ask to speak with Wenatchee Police Detective Brian Chance or Sgt. Jim West.
