SNOQUALMIE PASS — Rock-blasting closures of an hour or more on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass begin at 6 p.m. today and will continue until late October.
The route eastbound will close at Gold Creek (Milepost 56) and westbound at Price Creek (Milepost 61), the state Department of Transportation said.
Closures of an hour or more will begin at 6 p.m., both this evening, and Thursday.
Closures of two hours or more will happen Tuesday and Wednesday, also starting at 6 p.m.
Motorists traveling near Easton over the next two weeks will experience delays due to lane closures.
Blasting work is part of an ongoing project to add an extra lane in either direction over a 5-mile stretch of highway.
Visit the department’s “What’s Happening on I-90” website for closure and lane-restriction schedules, or call the I-90 construction hotline, 888-535-0738.
