PATEROS — A 90-year-old Pateros woman was injured Thursday afternoon in a crash with a tractor-trailer two miles north of Pateros on Highway 97.
Kathleen M. Pryor was transported to Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster, where hospital officials could not provide her condition this morning.
Pryor was driving south at about 2:20 p.m. when her 2002 Dodge pickup left the highway to the right and into the southbound ditch, then came back across both lanes into the northbound shoulder, a Washington State Patrol report said.
Timothy L. Isensee, 36, of Brewster, was driving a 2006 Freightliner and tried to avoid the pickup by going into the southbound lane, the report said.
The pickup struck the rear of one of the trailers in the northbound lane, it says. Isensee was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
