King David Johnson

July 24, 1956 ~ August 20, 2013

King David Johnson was born July 24, 1956 to Kenneth and Ilene Johnson. He passed away on August 20, 2013, in Cypress, CA, at home after a valiant 14 year long battle with cancer. He attended school in Imperial, CA and graduated from Imperial High School in 1974. He went on to complete four years of vocational training in the electrical field. King worked as a union electrician out of Local 569 in San Diego, CA and worked many years out of the local in Wenatchee, WA. His work also took him to the South, where he lived and worked for many years. It was there that he met Lucy Mask, a worker, who had a profound effect on his life.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Ilene Johnson of Cypress, CA; his sister, Paula Johnson; Four children: Rachel Coleman, Jennie Johnson, Sarah Johnson Gray and Kenneth Johnson; eight grand-children; and one nephew, Ryan Havens. He also leaves behind two Aunts: Wanda Johnson and Bette Thomas; many cousins; and friends, all dearly beloved by him.
